Drake dropped two tracks from Take Care over the weekend. Both "Club Paradise" and "Free Spirit" were produced by his go-to, Noah "40" Shebib, whose stamp is getting larger and larger on Drake's sound. "Club Paradise" is a melancholy song about being far from home, though he does have the good sense to occasionally be pretty funny. Now I'm that guy that know them strippers by their real names, he says, heavily sad, just to follow it up with, Rochelle, Jordan, thick bitches/ They just talked me out of four grand. "Free Spirit" features Rick Ross, not usually a bastion of self-reflection, making him a good partner for a down-in-the-dumps Canadian. They take turns talking about how they tattooed their name on their girls: I know it hurts, but I don't wanna hear it.
