Dum Dum Girls’ Only in Dreams is one of those records that we can comfortably call a grown move away from the debut. It's less scrappy, more focused, calmer, and sadder too. "Coming Down" is six-and-a-half minutes of meditative beauty. It sounds already classic. There a lot of moments like that on the record, which manages to be simultaneously everything we loved about the band but with a lot of extra (and, honestly, sad) layers. Only in Dreams is out next Tuesday, September 27th on Sub Pop.
