Kanye West got slammed for attempting high fashion design in Paris, but something tells us his brand new Air Yeezy II will be more of a crowd-pleaser. The number one rule of turning a sneaker into a collector's item is to mix idiosyncratic, borderline-wacky design elements into the finished product, and Kanye clearly has a Coco Chanel mastery of that: Hussein Chalayan-like spikes, 1990s shoelace strap and neon colorways guarantee this shit will sell out in a second. No word on release dates yet, but after a rough September, it looks like a fashion success for Yeezy. (via Stereogum)
