The bummer about being really into music and living in America, is that as far as moody dance music that exists somewhere in the orbit of The XX goes, it's usually sorta difficult to hear a great track divorced from a mysterious mix or late-night radio show that doesn't have a tracklist. There's a lot of this stuff and it is not so hard to get overlooked! Graphics’ "There's A Way Back" is absolutely one of those songs that should not be overlooked though. Somehow it makes a woodblock/cowbell noise seem plodding (in a good way)—and that vocal sample! Not sure if you're going to get a party started with this one, but you can definitely walk down a rainy street on an unusually blustery night while listening to it. File under bummer dance jams with a lot of heart and a deep range, and you'll get the idea. Graphics has a 12-inch out Dec. 12th on GETME!
