Kills came out a year ago on Christmas Eve. I remember downloading it in the middle of the night at my grandparent's house. I learned all the words on the flight home, nearly collapsing in the cab line when Lil Wayne's "You love me, and I hate you" monologue, sampled from The Dedication 3, appeared on it. In July, fellow Swede Joel Rampage chopped and screwed the mixtape/album, released now via Sincerely Yours (along with a single print of a Team Rockit poster, separately and amazingly). It's totally unexpected and totally rewarding— in its sludgy muck, dredging up year's worth of beautiful and confused feelings.
