Last year, Alabama's Jackie Chain and Fool's Gold boss Nick Catchdubs toyed with the idea of making a collaborative album that would pair Chain's wheeze-and-honey voice with sultry electronic production. It manifested itself in "Molly," their first work together. Produced by Matt Max and Cappelli, "Night is Young" is wound tighter than "Molly." Chain's singsong raps are at the foreground, but the track is propelled by a fast-rap second verse from Freddie Gibbs. It should pair well with a cocktail of energy shots and Sour Patch Kids, best imbibed while driving on the highway. The track will appear on After Hours, Chain and Catchdubs' odd-couple mixtape, out this month.
