We've been privy to a few cuts from The Odd Future Tape Vol. 2, but "Oldie" is a particularly hefty preview of what's to come from Odd Future. The ten-plus minute closer cut gives us an almost all-inclusive gathering of the Wolf Gang with Tyler leading the charge, Mike G as clean-up batter and the rest of the guys going pound-for-pound in between. But what's most remarkable about the track is the extensive final verse from Earl Sweatshirt. While we know that Earl has finally returned home, considering the song's title we can't necessarily be certain that this is new material. Still, the whole team sounds especially focused on this track—no sensationalism, no hook, just a grip of rappers engaging in the adept wordplay we've grown to expect from Odd Future as they mature.
