Vancouver's zaniest export Nardwuar rounds out a week of great interviews with some of our favorite rappers, talking with FADER #78 cover star Kendrick Lamar. As always, we learn some personal bits, like that Big Daddy Kane was playing in the car when Lamar's parents took him home from the hospital, that Lamar buys milk at Rite Aid and enjoys Fruity Pebbles. But what's most remarkable about this one is the history lesson we get about Compton rap, as well as Dr. Dre’s origins. For as shocked as Lamar acts at some of Nardwuar's findings, it's clear the Black Hippy crew knew what he was in for—when they sing Nardwuar's theme song at the close of the video, they nail it.
