For the tenth anniversary of their beloved Parisian fashion and music label, Maison Kitsuné, co-founders Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki opened their first store in North America. Conceptualized in part by Kuroki, who studied architecture and more or less handles the fashion side of the brand, the new Kitsuné outpost nestles into Manhattan's luxury NoMad Hotel like a fishbowl full of Palais-Royal. As longtime fans of both Kitsuné's preppy clothes and their endless stream of new music—the latest compilation, Kitsuné America, comes out May 22nd—we pretty much jumped at the chance for Loaëc to give us a tour. So check out the vid, maybe get a little jealous of his accent/watermelon-embroidered shirt, then stop by for yourself: the store's open now, on the corner of Broadway and 28th Street.
