It has been reported that D'Angelo will perform at this year's Essence Music Festival in New Orleans, his first show in the US in ten years. Since January, he's been sporadically performing in Europe, but this marks his first return home. The festival, which also features Aretha Franklin and Trey Songz on the bill, takes place July 6th-8th.
