If DJ Khaled is good at one thing, it's sticking to a very basic formula. On "Take it to the Head," very rich rappers rap about trying very hard to get where they are now (taking a rest on the top of a pile of money). Normally, this sort of song would be accompanied by Khaled doing some emotional but positive yelling about how hard he works, how much he wins, etc, but here he—and actually everyone on the track—comes off pretty subdued. Heavy is the head that wears the crown, right? It's probably a lot heavier when you're trying to keep your balance on top of piles of loose thousand dollar bills. "Take it to the Head" comes from Khaled's upcoming Kiss The Ring. It will surely feature a lot of distant collaborations that we'll feel mediocre about considering the talent involved. Then we will listen to the entire thing on the treadmill for a whole week.
