"Someone Got It In For Me" is Lower’s most accomplished song yet. But then, there's not much out there. Still, rising from a clanging squall of guitars and sculpted feedback is vocalist Adrian Toubro, who repeats Someone's Got It In For Me in a ragged, weirdly Bob Dylan-esque drawl. It's a moment that transforms the song from young punk anger to something more paranoid and despairing. By putting that sense of worry onto such an aggressive instrumental, Lower successfully makes a song that is as unsettling as it is satisfying. "Someone Got It In For Me" is from the band's new 7-inch, out November 20th on Escho. Get it there or right here.
