What Tom Krell of How to Dress Well will tell you in his music video for "& It Was U" is that even within a vapid California landscape, scattered with fields of oil pumpjacks and wonted palm trees, allure and enchantment are still to be found and furthermore celebrated. Directed by Luke Gilford and produced by Urban Outfitters, the video cuts back and forth between scenes of an enigmatic boy tricked-out in golden attire cruising down various streets on a gold-plated Segway, and those of a spiritual gathering with synchronized dance routines and levitating meditation sessions.
