Candy is on the fifth edition of what they call a "transversal style magazine"—they're the first fashion publication to exclusively salute drag queens and transexuals, putting James Franco on the cover dressed like a girl and styling an editorial with drag queen Anna Wintours. You know someone's an icon when queens start impersonating you, and Candy's newest cover features a "beautiful black transwoman" in Michelle's signature sleeveless look giving the oath of office. The publisher Luis Venegas told Dazed: "I remember back in early 2007 when the Democratic Party’s nominees were narrowed down between two 'controversial' stereotypes never before seen for presidency: a black man, Barack Obama; and a woman, Hillary Rodham Clinton. At that time, I thought, 'When will the time come when these archaic walls break down and the White House will be occupied by, for example, a black, transsexual woman?'" Here's to a few more tiny, stylish cracks in the glass ceiling.
