Lite FM flute, drum & bass rhythms, and digitally glitched vocal scat come together quite swimmingly on this latest missive from ADR, the solo project of Gatekeeper's Aaron David Ross, whose Chunky Monkey debut is set to drop on Hippos in Tanks come April 16th. Aside from a few ominous synth notes about halfway through, "Slush Fund" couldn't sound any more different from Gatekeeper's signature horror-camp. But in its e-cig vaping, pan-world restaurant smoothness, it seems to be joyriding just as ecstatically into some tech-addled, late capitalist apocalypse.
