Chicago rapper and producer Tree has an elastic voice that sounds like its been raked over broken glass (in a good way, if you can believe it). Roc Marciano is less erratic, more calm, delivering weird imagery in a dead-eyed rasp. Them working together seems like a no-brainer, so now we have "Trynawin," from Tree's upcoming Sunday School II: When Church Lets Out, which is syrup-thick and a perfectly smooth contrast to all the vocal jaggedness. Tree's mixtape will be out this Spring from Creative Control and Closed Sessions, whose video about how "Trynawin" came together you can watch here.
