Mayerling’s "La Morn N'en Saura Rien" is inscrutable. It's a plodding track led by organs that crawl and leave behind an ambient trail of warm noise before vocals that sound like they just don't quite belong kick in with a flat order to sleep tight. As you can imagine, it's all very unsettling, but it's weirdly compelling, too. This song is an exploration of repetition and our ability to endlessly discover new details in a single, repeated movement. Cut Up is out May 14th on Hands in the Dark.
