Daily Inspiration: Ottavio Missoni

May 09, 2013

The New York Times reports today that Ottavio Missoni, the founder of the legendary Italian knitwear house Missoni, has died at the age of 92. His zig-zagging, super-luxe sweaters in wild prints have been inspiration to ballers everywhere since the 1950s, when he and his wife Rosita started the brand in the northern Italian town of Varese, through the 1970s, when they become synonymous with a certain kind of upscale, bohemian lifestyle, to today, when collaborations with Target and cool ad campaigns featuring the whole Missoni clan have kept the company fresh and relevant. Pay your respects today by wearing the craziest sweater in your closet and taking a shot of Campari.
