LIZ is a millennial newcomer from Tarzana, CA, making what a PR bio calls "tasteful post-ratchet lollipop sounds." Echoing other '90s babies enamored with the music released around their 10th birthdays—see Charli XCX's Backstreet Boys cover and Ryan Hemsworth's Backstreet Boys edit—she seems intent on continuing the legacy of mid-album Mandy Moore tracks. "Horoscope," basically a diet version of Janet Jackson's "I Get So Lonely," is about the *bold* choice to ignore the predictions of astrology and make out with presumably incompatible boys. Expect two more LIZ songs next week via Mad Decent's Jeffree's imprint.
