Los Angeles-based rapper/singer Young Scrap has released the fifth installment of his consistently excellent Music We Can Fuck To mixtape series. Scrap's got a clear admiration for The-Dream—on volume four of this series, he interpolated Dream's "Fast Car" and covered "Falsetto." His habit of using R&B history as a playground (which is actually a pretty Dream-like trait) continues here: MWCFT5 opens with Scrap scanning the radio, stopping on snippets of Aaliyah "Come Over" and Ginuwine "Pony." Fittingly, "Swing My Way" samples K.P. & Envyi's 1998 single of the same name, and while Scrap's is definitely a more masculine take on the song, the reverence is apparent.
