Designers' spring ads are starting to roll-out, and in a move that feels like the polar opposite of Miley for Marc Jacobs, Lupita Nyong'o, the female lead in 12 Years A Slave and Oscar hopeful, is starring in Miu Miu's spring 2014 print campaign. Shot by fashion photo duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, this is Nyong'o's fashion campaign debut, but she's been a rising favorite among designers for the past year or so—Nyong'o frequently wears the diffusion line helmed by Miuccia Prada and was seated front row at the Miu Miu runway show in Paris. See all of Nyong'o's stunning red carpet looks on The Cut and read our interview with her 12 Years co-star Chiwetel Ejiofor here.
