Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor has confirmed that he and his old pal Atticus Ross have been tapped to score Gone Girl, David Fincher's upcoming adaptation of Gillian Flynn's best-selling thriller. This will be their third time working with Fincher-- previously, they teamed up for The Social Network (which earned them an Oscar and a Golden Globe) and for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (which earned them a Golden Globe nomination). And Fincher has been not-so-secretly looking forward to extending their winning streak. Asked last fall about the possibility of future collaborations, Fincher sounded certain: "God, I'm hoping. Yeah. If he'll have me." Can't fix what's not broken. Gone Girl opens October 3.
