Masked producer SBTRKT has fleshed out the instrumental project he first teased last month, when he premiered "Hold The Line" on Mary Anne Hobbs' BBC show. That twinkly instrumental track is one of six that comprise SBTRKT's new Transitions EP, which is meant to be a sort of bridge between his last album and his next. For now all six tracks are streaming -- like Evian Christ's Waterfall EP -- on an interactive website, designed by the anonymous designer behind SBTRKT's trademark tribal masks, A Hidden Place, and Japanese creative agency PARTY. Eventually Transitions will be available in the physical, in three 12" installments (featuring 2D Moiré art by A Hidden Place that mimics the site's animation), through Young Turks. Collect 'em all: Transitions I on May 5, Transitions II on May 19, and Transitions III on June 2.
