Long Beach rapper and Cutthroat Boyz member Vince Staples releases his long-awaited sophomore project Shyne Coldchain Vol. 2 today (its predecessor was released in late 2011). True to form, Staples raps his ass off here without letting bars get in the way of easy listenability, with breezy but still neck-snapping production from No I.D., Kendrick hitmaker Scoop Deville, Evidence and DJ Babu and guest spots from Jhene Aiko and James Fauntleroy.
