The Chicago Tribune reported this morning that Chief Keef's second cousin, Big Glo, né Mario Hess, was killed last night in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood after two unknown gunmen opened fire near the intersection of Elizabeth Avenue and 56th Street, around 9:45 pm. The 33-year-old rapper suffered 10 gun wounds, and was pronounced dead upon arrival at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County; another man present on the scene, of unknown relation to Hess, is in critical condition at Stroger. Previously known as Blood Money, Hess was the eldest member of Glory Boyz Entertainment, and appeared on Chief Keef's "Fuck Rehab" last year. According to his manager and cousin, Renaldo Reuben Hess, he inked a deal with Interscope just a few months before his death. The news follows Chief Keef's alleged involvement in a Northfield, Illinois shooting last month, though it is unknown whether the two incidents are related.
