Judging by his pulsing, wistful remixes of early '00s songbirds like Teedra Moses and Amerie, the female voice is as vital to Montreal producer Kaytranada as any drum machine or keyboard note. So we weren't surprised to hear he’d be taking the reigns on singer Reva DeVito’s upcoming EP, producing the entire project for HW&W Recordings. “Friday Night” is our first taste: the Portland singer offers a sharp enough guidepost for Kaytranda’s soundscape, sneaking in sweet lines like I’ll be your lollipop, you can be my sugar thang.
