It looks like Lil Wayne has let the L.A. legend whom he once memorialized in song have the honor of revealing what appears to be the artwork -- or at least some sort of official announcement -- for his highly-anticipated Tha Carter V. It was once rumored (thanks Drake!) that the album, which Wayne has claimed will be his last, was set for a May 5th release; but Weezy's manager, Cortez Bryant, has since said not so. In doing so, however, he assure that it would be worth the wait, and over the weekend evidence corroborating his promise that "it’s gonna be that good" surfaced. See: this photo of Wayne and Mannie in the studio over the weekend and this song snippet posted on Instagram by the OG Cash Money produce, hashtags #Carter5 and #hit. Happy Carter V season.
