FADER PREMIERE
London trio Eaux rose from the ashes of post-rock band Sian Alice Group in 2012 to assume the shape of slow-burn synth warriors. I saw them support Blondes in London around the time of their debut release and it was a semi-religious experience, due in no small part to frontwoman Sian Ahern's commanding vocal presence. On new song "The Light Falls Through Itself", Ahern strikes an ecclesiastical note, seeming to draw strength from the sine wave whirlpool summoned up by her bandmates. It's taken from their debut album, "Plastics," due out July 8th in the US and Canada. Lucky UK folks can get their hands on it from June 9th.
