This morning, Seattle art-rap duo Shabazz Palaces dropped the second single off its upcoming Lese Majesty LP. Titled "#CAKE," the song finds Ishmael Butler musing non sequitur over buoyant bass and a woozy backdrop: Lost inside of whirlwinds eating cake / Syndicates of girlfriends eating cake. The self-proclaimed "purveyor of the tight song" lives up to his namesake on this one. The hedonistic "#CAKE" will appear on "Pleasure Milieu," one of seven suites that divides the 18-track Lese Majesty, due July 29 on Sub Pop. Shabazz Palaces will be touring throughout July and August to support the project. For more, read our 2011 GEN F profile on the pair.
