ILoveMakonnen understands this dilemma on "Club Going Up on a Tuesday," which sees the Atlanta rapper too tired from graveyard shifts to properly go out on the weekend; instead, he settles for a Tuesday. Metro Boomin and Sonny Digital, no strangers to club bangers, hold down production duties. But this is not Future or Young Thug, so the two producers find a style that sits between Neon Indian circa 2009 and Future's "Honest." An interesting change of direction for them, but it works for ILoveMakonnen, as he saunters in an all acid-wash outfit, geeked up for a weeknight.
