Stream a Disjointed Post-Rock Jam by Brooklyn Four-Piece Advertising

Listen to a melodically-restless post-rock song from its debut tape.

FADER PREMIERE

This summer, the Brooklyn-via-Syracuse band Advertising will release its debut tape, Pull, and "Ending" (streaming below) is the melodically-restless first "single." It's an impressionistic, emotional post-rock jammer with a few nervy breakdowns and some disjointed vocals, delivered off-beat as if they're being read straight out of a moleskin notebook where the lyrics were scribbled down illegibly. Listening to the song, I'm reminded of contemporary ramblers like Krill but also of, like, rural towns and anxiety and first-wave emo bands. Pull is out August 5th on Syracuse/Brooklyn label Prison Art Tapes; you can pre-order it over at Bandcamp.
