Charli XCX is getting ready for her close-up after ruling the summer with Iggy Azalea on the smash hit "Fancy." On Monday, her label Neon Gold announced the release of the "Boom Clap" singer's second album, Sucker, due out October 21st. Leading the new record is the single "Break All the Rules," whose aggressive, in-your-face sound lives up to its name and perhaps may surprise new fans who only know her for the electronic dance pop of "Fancy." It's not the first time Charli has injected a little rock edge to her music—most recently she did a cover of the Strangeloves' classic '60s hit “I Want Candy." If her new song is any indication, Sucker could be the British star's breakout album that ushers her proper arrival.
