Nike Roshe's have come up as the everyday swoosh of choice in recent months, but there's no silhouette that sits closer to my heart than the Blazer. The basketball-turned-skate shoe has been lacing tight since 1973, and is one of the few Nike models that truly looks better with wear and tear--which may be why I've been wearing the same pair since 9th grade. But after spotting this blacked-out version, thanks to COMME des GARCONS and Nike Sportswear, it may be time for an upgrade. While the low-cut version floated by this past fall, we can't quite let the high tops pass us by: suede upper, blacked-out innards and an eye-popping CDG hit on the heel are the details that might have us throwing bows at Dover Street Market to cop these later this month--although a current Ebay listing has us considering even more immediately reckless retail decisions.
