Hear TV on the Radio’s Electrifying New Track “Happy Idiot”
The Brooklyn band’s new single heralds the arrival of new album Seeds.
There's nothing idiotic about TV on the Radio's meaty new song “Happy Idiot,” which was unveiled on Sirius XM on Monday. Rather, this sleek and driving electronic-dominated rocker—accompanied by a far-out foamy lyric video—heralds the Brooklyn band's upcoming album, Seeds, which was announced this past July. It's first new record since Nine Types of Light from 2011 and follows the passing of member Gerard Smith that same year. In addition to the new single, TV on the Radio also announced their fall tour that begins on September 21st at Riot Fest in Denver and then resumes October 17th in Santa Barbara. Seeds, which was produced by the band's guitarist David Andrew Sitek, is due out November 18.
