It could be Drake's big night at the upcoming BET Hip-Hop Awards in a year that had already saw him perform at the OVO Festival and tour with Lil Wayne. On Thursday, the Canadian hip-hop star racked up eight award nominations, leading all nominees, The Associated Press reported. Among the nods he received included Best Hip Hop video for “Worst Behavior”; Best Live Performer; Lyricist of the Year; MVP of the Year; People's Champ Award; and Album of the Year for Nothing Was the Same. Also among those honored were Future, Jay Z and Pharrell, all of whom received six nominations each, while YG, Nicki Minaj and Rich Homie Quan each scored five nods. The BET Hip-Hop Awards, hosted by Snoop Dogg, will be taped on September 20th and air on October 14th.
