On stage at the iTunes music festival at London's Roundhouse, Shay Haley joined Pharrell to tear through N*E*R*D classics like "Lapdance," "Rockstar," and "She Wants To Move," before hinting at the news everyone wanted to hear. "It feels good to be back in London. When we released our first album back in 2001 and first crossed the Atlantic, this was the first place to embrace us. You're gonna like this shit we're gonna release." P amped it up further: "There will always be an N.E.R.D. I'm happy to be a nerd; the bullies lost, the nerds win." We reached out to Chad Hugo and got no comment, but fingers are crossed that the band that fathered a million styles will be dropping something new soon.
