Porches Announces New Seven-Inch as Ronald Paris; Hear “Prism”
Last time we checked in on New York singer-songwriter Aaron Maine, aka Porches, he was wandering around the streets of lower Manhattan with collaborator and real-life girlfriend Greta Klein, aka Frankie Cosmos, crooning a seasick little love song that included a line about wanting to trade in [his] jeans for leather. Now, he's got a two-track digital single coming out on Terrible Records; somewhat confusingly, it's called Ronald Paris House, referencing another alias of his (Ronald Paris) that he's brought out in the past as an umbrella for his sketchier, more exploratory constructions. The charmingly sleepy "Prism," like it's Klein-featuring b-side, "Forgive," is a track he originally recorded as a demo for an upcoming Porches full-length, but decided to release as a stand-alone jam. The single is out digitally on October 14th, with physical seven-inches available shortly after. Pre-order it here, and check out upcoming tourdates with Frankie Cosmos below.
