On this new snippet that crept up on Soundcloud unannounced and unexplained, Kendrick Lamar rides a rattling trap beat that sounds like Ab-Soul would eat it, with subject matter a little more hard-edged than "i". We're hoping this isn't a false-start--old verses patched over a new beat, a throwaway feature from a TDE affiliate album, or some other trickery--but there's no way K.Dot doesn't have a few knockers like these in the vault for his sophomore effort. Would talk be more positive if he came out the gate with a cut this true to form? Would there be as much talk at all? The questions we get to ponder, that artists have to answer.
