Watch Vyle Flee the Digital World in “Routheurethane”
“The song’s title is a reference to the now demolished Route 66 arcade/skating rink on 66th and King Drive in the southside of Chicago.”

Throughout Vyle's "Routeurethane," it looks like he's about to glitch right of the scene. The effect could easily be shrugged off as a video buffering problem, but it fits the wide-lensed theme that examines the way the internet has changed over the years. While Vyle's lyrics are literal, rattling web jargon over a gripping vocal sample, the video finds Vyle retreating into nature's green fields, escaping the same digital grip that stands to wipe him out. The lesson's clear: log off and go get some fresh, wifi-dense air.
