Despite what Nicki may have you thinking, the anti-thong movement has been slowly building for a while now, with thongless brands like Ten Undies finding success and a full coverage swimsuit finding its way into J.Lo and Iggy Azealia's "Booty" video. Now, Acne Studios wants to deal another blow to the undergarment that "gift wraps the booty," according Sisqo. Released today, Acne's fall underwear offerings come in a brief style for men and bikini cuts for women, with high and low-waisted options available all around. Acne's creative director Johnny Johanssen claims that the increase in fabric square footage has more to do with nakedness than covering up, "Underwear should be beige or skin colored, because I prefer no underwear," says Johanssen. Currently, the existing colorways are only going to have you looking naked if you have really pale or olive skin. Acne's unmentionables will be available in five colors—flesh, military green, white, black, and nude—October 16, both in store and online.
