Hear Ghost Loft’s “Be Easy” And Shrug Off Your Problems
The Koreatown up-and-comer debuts more shake-it-off fire.
Use of the phrase "be easy" peaked in 2005, according to Google Trends, but it was definitely hot in '03 and still going in '08; the country of Tunisia, in particular, is said to be a fan. Today's use, in the new single from Ghost Loft, feels like an extra-modern amalgamation, part seriousness and part levity, thanks to a luxe synth-pop sound that's unhappy but maybe not as gut-wrenching as the scenes of the LA riots (Ghost Loft is from Koreatown) and nuclear bombs that make up its found-footage video. The idea with this contrast, I think, is that many of your problems are small and you should just deal. Pick your premiere poison below, YouTube or SoundCloud. As a bonus, check out Ghost Loft's appearance, via a "Too Much"-like sample of his original song "So High," on Wiz Khalifa's recent song of the same name.
