A couple months back, Intel and Opening Ceremony announced they were getting into the wearable tech game with MICA, a device studded with precious gems and wrapped in Ayers snakeskin. Today, OC has finally released the first visuals of the piece, and it's impressive. Priced at $495 (with a two-year AT&T contract), the MICA—or My Intelligent Communication Accessory—resembles a chunky bracelet with a quietly embedded digital screen. The gadget also co-stars in a two-minute film, "The Value of Time," alongside Rashida Jones, who plays a harried but charming boss whirling about her modern office. It's easy to run into issues when dealing with with gender-specific technologies, but we imagine it's not just women who will be drawn to it.
