Glass Gang Premieres Video For “The Fall”
Watch the Brooklyn trio’s minimalist clip, directed by Spanish visual artist Lur Olaizola.
Earlier this month, the once-anonymous Brooklyn trio Glass Gang released a new mixtape called Lower. Today, they've dropped official visuals for mellow, vaguely gothic mixtape cut "The Fall"; as has been the norm with their music videos and press images thus far, it's rendered sharply in black and white. The clip was directed by Spanish visual artist Lur Olaizola, whose work is often concerned with contemporary music. "Following Glass Gang's minimalist style, I wanted to translate in images what "The Fall" evokes to me," Olaizola told FADER in an email. "Tension, hypnosis, persistence. Fragile hands stretching a strong rope. Frail light bulbs falling. Two opposite strengths. And the void." Step into that void above, and then listen to Lower in its entirety below.
