Estonian producer Mord Fustang (that name!) has built a rep with the furry-boots crowd trawling the festival circuit, but his new track "Doppelgangbanger" flips what you might think of big-room EDM right on its head: the tune is all build and no release, with intense, martial drums perpetually cresting as a video game-y synth figure dances atop the rhythmic chaos. "This one is a Mord classic," Mr. Fustang told FADER in an email. "A progressive journey through slightly crushed synths. The name comes from the concept of, what if you could have a sexual experience with doppelgängers of yourself." "Doppelgangbanger" is from his forthcoming debut LP, 9999 in 1, which will see release on January 20 of next year.
