The Wait Is Almost Over For Lil Wayne’s Sorry 4 The Wait 2 Mixtape
The mixtape is arriving Tuesday January 20, to hold you over until Tha Carter V is set free.
It's not quite the Carter V release date we've been praying for, but it's a good second best: Lil Wayne has just shared a new trailer for his Sorry 4 The Wait 2 mixtape, revealing that it's set to drop this coming Tuesday January 20. Earlier this week, Wayne dropped an apologetic remix of Future's "Sh!t," at the same time as longtime manager Cortez Bryant lashed out at Cash Money for delaying the album release, promising "Once we unlock these chains it's on Young Money!" There's still no telling when that might be, but at least the clip above—featuring a preview of Wayne's take on Makonnen's "Maneuvering"—offers something to look forward to.
UPDATE 01/19/15 11.02am: You can now hear the full audio of mixtape track "Fingers Hurting"—Wayne's version of Makonnen's "Maneuvering"—below.
