Twice a year, Dover Street Market New York shuts its doors to reconfigure the seven-floor retail space. The entire process, known as "New Beginnings", marks a clean slate for the concept shop: a chance to shed last season's skin and emerge with a fresh look and vibe. In addition to restocking the brands that we've grown to love, creative director Rei Kawakubo and the whole DSMNY team take the opportunity to introduce new designers to the city's fashion landscape. This past weekend, DSMNY unveiled its latest incarnation, replete with a crop of new designers. Below, meet five of tomorrow's upstarts that are gracing the coveted racks.
Despite rumors of the brand's demise, London's kings of kooky fashion are now stocked on the fourth floor, alongside fellow ex-pats KTZ and FADER fave Proper Gang.
