We've got scarce info on London beatmaker Hiko Momoji: he spit out a whirly instrumental "Mirage Island" that sounds like it was built off the first few chords of Frank Ocean's "Thinkin Bout You," and he's currently cooking up an EP called Howl. His sound is sugary, full, and notably consistent; for his latest, Momoji recruits Awful Records mom and pop Father and Abra for a coy duet about spooning in front of the TV well past midnight. Imagine PC Music doing R&B: Abra steals the show with a baby-faced run that's as sweet as the toy piano keys. Howl drops this February, and we're hoping for more V-Day vibes like these.
