Last month, A.P.C. boss Jean Touitou came under fire (and lost a deal with Timberland) after racially tinged comments made to Style following his fall presentation show in Paris. He at one point referenced his friendship with Kanye West to defend his usage of the title of the 'Ye and Jay Z song "Niggas In Paris," and in his own gargantuan interview with Style, Kanye's offered his take on the controversy.
"Racism is a distraction to humanity," Kanye tells journalist Dirk Standen, referring to Touitou as "one of the most humane people I know." "Jean Touitou had my family have dinner with him every time we came to Paris," he continues. "And there are a lot of people who own fashion companies who didn't."
