Yeezy is honored for his efforts as an “Entrepreneur.”
The fifth annual BET Honors award show aired tonight, and like always it celebrated the accomplishments of six important African-American men and women in a variety of fields. This year, none other than Kanye West took home the Visionary Award for his contributions in all of his various fields. After an introduction from Damon Dash, he delivered a lengthy acceptance speech that he led off by joking that he understood "for one of the first times in [his] life how it is to feel humbled." His went on to touch on institutional race issues and his relationship with Kim over the course of his nine minutes on stage. You can watch a full unedited version of the speech up above.
Below, you can also catch Dash's introductory speech, a performance featuring the show's host Wayne Brady and Usher, as well as a collection of Kanye's friends and family talking about his work. 'Ye also turned up to freestyle during his "Bound 2" collaborator Charlie Wilson's performance of "Yearning For Your Love," but that video hasn't made its way online just yet.
