After making waves in the world of alternative hip-hop as one-third of Das Racist, Himanshu Suri has continued to release rap music under the moniker Heems. We've been excited since January about the first cut "Sometimes" from his debut album Eat, Pray, Thug, out March 10th via Megaforce. Today, the entire record is available for streaming over at NPR First Listen. Unafraid of nuance or overt, political messages, Heems has described his new record as "post-9/11 dystopian brown man rap." Listen to the album stream at NPR and check out his bonus recent track with Fool's Gold co-founder Nick Catchdubs and rapper Troy Ave.
